Sage – Fixed Assets Toolbar
All but the most basic versions of Sage have a feature called the Fixed Assests Toolbar. This enables users to keep track of all their fixed assets using the system. When a new asset is purchased simply log it by selecting the ‘Record’ option (this process does not automatically post the asset in the appropriate nominal ledger codes, this will need to be done separately). Once the details of the fixed asset have been entered, the ‘Posting’ tab on the Fixed Asset Record enables you to set up depreciation postings which are then posted automatically when the month end option is run.
